HISTORY

Pharmagel Technology is a privately held company born from the previously pharmaceutical company Pharmagel Spa active in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic field and paintballs as contract manufacturer.

1962 Pharmagel spa Founded in Lodi, Italy, in co-operation with P.Leiner & Sons Ltd UK, following many years of experience in hard shell capsule production

1965 Commences manufacture of Softgels in Lodi, under European Health Authorities and FDA approvals

1970 >Starts marketing the first Rotary die Softgels encapsulation lines in the world

1976 Complete renewal of Lodi plant with the installation of 6 new generation lines, and acquisition of 100% of shares

1985 Opening of a new Plant in Lodi of 6,000 m2 with the installation of 4 production lines for cosmetic products and paintballs.

1989 Acquisition of a new Plant in Neuvic (France) and installation of 8 production lines for the French market

1993 Co-operation agreement between Pharmagel & R.P. Scherer, Multinational American softgel manufacturer.

1993 Sale of the two Pharmagel facilities to R.P. Scherer (now Catalent)

From 1998 establishment of new Factory in Lodi, headquarters of Pharmagel with Commercial and Technical offices, Engineering Department, Workshop for machinery construction, Encapsulation Production Lines for Laboratory and Pilot Batches production, for Client Training and for Customers trials.

Today, Pharmagel is a leading international developer and manufactures od Softgels plant, uniquely devoted to provide the most sophisticated machinery and equipment. Since more than 50 years, the company is investing in production, research, development and design of the most reliable system of Softgel manufacturing, obtaining the confidence of the most important partners in the world.
